The Recruitment Process Explained

At Australasian Recruitment Company we want to make the recruitment process as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Finding new employment in London can be an exciting time, but it can also be a little daunting. We’re here to take the fear out of the unknown by answering all of your recruitment questions.

A Recruitment Agency Working for You, No Question!

If you have a question that is not covered in our frequently asked questions section, or you want to register with us, please feel free to contact our supportive and friendly team of recruitment consultants in our London office on 0207 625 3300.

You can expect to be in the office between 1-2 hours. You will meet at least two of our team members and they will gain a deeper understanding of your work experience and preferences going forward. We have a comprehensive registration process so we can get to know you and find you an exciting opportunity!

You will meet with a dedicated recruitment consultant who will assess your skills and match them to any existing roles. All our recruitment consultants communicate with each other, so your skills and experience will be shared amongst the team so you can expect to hear from any one of us regarding job prospects.

Unfortunately we can’t guarantee any timeframes as it all depends on demand from our clients. In some instances we have candidates starting work on the same day they register with our recruitment agency, and there have been some we haven’t been able to help. What we do promise is that we will work hard to find you work and keep you updated throughout the process.

This varies depending on the roles from our clients, but our temporary work can start from a one day assignment to an on-going opportunity. When registering, we will ask you what your preference is so we can find you the most suitable job assignments.

We specialise in recruitment for office support roles across a wide range of industry sectors including, but not limited to, technology, not-for-profit, financial services, professional services, media, fashion and property.

Absolutely not. While our name attracts a lot of Australasian candidates we work with all nationalities living in London.

No! Our services are free of charge to our candidates, so feel free to register with us or browse our jobs.

Part of the recruitment process is to ensure we know what you are looking for, so we always try and ensure temporary assignments are an appropriate duration for our candidates. If you are prioritising permanent work we’ll often only speak to you about shorter-term assignments so the permanent search can continue.

No. Just chat to your recruitment consultant if you need any information on how to get started with NI Numbers and bank accounts.

The bank holidays are built into your holiday pay accrual amount, so you can request to be paid for these days if you have enough holiday hours accrued at the time.

Of course, we want you to open as many doors as possible so you do not have to be exclusively registered. If you do speak with us and we feel there may be more suitable agencies who can meet your requirements we will happily recommend these to you.

We don’t offer a referral rewards program, we just hope that all referrals are genuine and people are wanting to share the positive experience they have had with Australasian. We know that good people know good people and want to spread the word.
