An established and high-performing independent school in West London is seeking an experienced and committed SENCo to lead and further develop its SEN and EAL provision. This is a senior, influential role working closely with the leadership team to ensure all pupils can fully access a broad, stimulating curriculum and achieve excellent outcomes. The successful candidate will champion inclusive education, high-quality teaching, and early intervention, working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.

The successful candidate will champion inclusive education, high-quality teaching, and early intervention, working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
SENCO ROLE:
- Leading and developing high‑quality SEN and EAL provision across the school
- Ensuring pupils with additional needs can fully access the curriculum and make excellent progress
- Promoting inclusive practice and quality first teaching across all departments
- Overseeing screening, assessment, tracking and review processes for SEN pupils
- Managing exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulations
- Working closely with senior leaders, heads of faculty, parents and external agencies
- Providing guidance, training and resources to staff on specific learning needs
- Line managing SEN support staff and overseeing departmental resources and budget
- Supporting smooth pupil transitions and maintaining accurate SEND documentation
- Safeguarding the welfare, wellbeing and progress of all pupils
- Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Obtaining the National Award for SEN Coordination or being willing to work towards it
- Demonstrating proven experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school environment
- Possessing a strong understanding of SEN legislation and statutory guidance
- Managing exam access arrangements and ensuring JCQ compliance
- Analysing data to inform strategy and intervention
- Showing excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Providing free lunches during the school term
