FINANCE COORDINATOR
A fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail‑driven Finance Coordinator to join a respected professional services firm. This role is perfect for someone who is hungry to learn, eager to step up, and ready to build their finance career. Working closely with an experienced Finance Director and the wider operations team, you will play an important part in keeping the finance function running smoothly while developing the skills needed to take on increasing responsibility. This position suits someone proactive, analytical and ambitious, with a strong eye for detail and the confidence to grow into a more senior finance role over time.

FINANCE COORDINATOR ROLE:
  • Assisting with core financial processes, maintaining accurate financial data and supporting ongoing improvements to the finance function
  • Managing accounts payable by processing supplier invoices, running payments, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records while resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Supporting accounts receivable by raising invoices, helping with credit control and monitoring aged debtors and creditors, escalating issues when needed
  • Supporting monthly management accounts preparation, including P and L, balance sheet and cashflow, and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate ledgers
  • Following and improving financial controls, policies and procedures, and supporting year‑end accounts preparation while liaising with external accountants
  • Assisting with cashflow forecast updates and monitoring working capital, and supporting budgeting, reforecasting and basic financial analysis to inform operational decisions
  • Completing general finance administration as required and assisting with VAT preparation to ensure timely submissions, while supporting payroll processing
  • Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and internal procedures, and contributing to wider business projects and continuous improvement initiatives
FINANCE COORDINATOR ESSENTIALS:
  • Holding an AAT qualification or studying, or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Leveraging strong Xero experience as essential and Hubdoc familiarity as beneficial
  • Drawing on a background in recruitment, executive search or consultancy, where helpful but not essential
  • Communicating clearly and confidently to build trust and credibility
  • Delivering high accuracy and strong attention to detail while managing multiple deadlines with excellent organisation
  • Remaining calm and resilient under pressure and working independently with appropriate guidance
  • Taking a proactive and positive approach with strong problem-solving skills and an outcome focus, committed to continuous improvement
  • Aligning to values of integrity, authenticity, inclusivity, accountability and supportiveness, being approachable and collaborative with a genuine interest in mission-driven work, and contributing as a team player to a positive workplace culture
