FINANCE MANAGER ROLE:
Supporting UK and UAE operations, you will take ownership of core financial processes, drive continuous improvement, and provide meaningful insight to support commercial decision‑making.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Overseeing and managing the full accounts payable process, including supplier invoices, payment runs, and reconciliations
- Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing, credit control, and debt collection
- Maintaining accurate ledgers and resolving any invoice or payment queries promptly
- Monitoring aged debtors and creditors and taking appropriate follow‑up action
- Preparing monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy across all ledgers
- Maintaining and improving financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Supporting year‑end accounts preparation and liaising with external accountants and auditors
- Supporting cashflow forecasting and monitoring working capital
- Assisting with budgeting and reforecasting cycles
- Providing financial insight to guide operational and commercial decisions
- Conducting ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Managing VAT returns and ensuring timely HMRC submissions
- Supporting payroll processing
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Contributing to broader business projects, process improvements, and AQ‑wide initiatives
FINANCE MANAGER ESSENTIALS:
Qualifications & Experience
- AAT qualified or part‑qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Strong experience using Xero (absolute requirement)
- Hubdoc experience an advantage
- Background in recruitment, executive search or consultancy beneficial
- Strong and effective communicator, able to build credibility internally and externally
- High degree of technical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to deliver at pace
- Confident working autonomously with minimal supervision
- Proactive, “can‑do” attitude with the ability to engage at all levels
- Strong alignment with values of integrity, authenticity, inclusivity, accountability and supportiveness
- Collegiate and approachable, with a genuine interest in mission‑driven work
