An excellent temporary opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to provide annual leave cover within the London Head Office of a leading property developer operating across the UK and Europe. As the face of the business and the heart of the office, you will play a key role in delivering a professional and welcoming experience for visitors and colleagues alike.
RECEPTIONIST ROLE:
- Greeting external clients, including international investors and visitors
- Answering incoming telephone calls from internal and external stakeholders
- Managing two email inboxes, responding to enquiries where appropriate and directing communications to relevant teams and departments
- Taking full ownership of restocking office facilities, refreshments and kitchen supplies, including beverages, coffee, tea, milk and breakfast provisions
- Supporting the organisation of office events and coordinating weekly company-wide breakfasts for 80–100 employees
- Allocating and managing multiple meeting rooms through a booking management system
- Preparing meeting rooms for corporate, internal and external meetings
- Ensuring meeting rooms are maintained to a high standard and equipped with the appropriate IT setup
- Assisting the Office Manager with ad hoc duties and providing short-term cover during periods of annual leave
- Accepting and managing parcel deliveries on behalf of employees and the wider office
- Processing invoices and expenses for employees and the wider business
- Supporting the wider office with ad hoc administrative and operational requests as required
RECEPTIONIST ESSENTIALS:
- Demonstrating a passion for delivering top-tier service
- Communicating effectively through exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Maintaining a highly organised and proactive approach to work
- Utilising strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Collaborating effectively as a team player and providing support beyond core responsibilities when required
- Applying strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Remaining comfortable working in a fully office-based environment and maintaining a professional corporate appearance at all times
