COPYWRITER

COPYWRITER ROLE:

• Editing existing written materials, from broader structural edits to in-depth copyediting, ensuring a consistent tone of voice, appropriate word choice and alignment with audience and brief
• Proofreading content written by others across the practice, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency and clear responses to briefs
• Writing engaging and clear content across a wide range of collateral, including thought leadership articles, award submissions, website copy, brochures and presentations
• Creating content for social media, newsletters, event invitations, video subtitles and email marketing campaigns
• Writing internal communications content as required, engaging internal audiences effectively
• Researching industry trends and topics to generate relevant content ideas
• Optimising digital content for search engines (SEO) and user engagement where appropriate
• Coordinating and collaborating with work-winning, technical and other teams across the practice to gather information and translate it into accessible, audience-focused content
• Maintaining a consistent tone of voice and brand messaging across all communications
• Acting as an ambassador for and guardian of established brand and stylistic guidelines, ensuring consistent implementation across all work

COPYWRITER ESSENTIALS:

• Minimum 3 years of copywriting experience
• Must have experience with InDesign
• Knowledge of heritage/architecture/construction industry and awareness of key themes for the industry
• Proven experience of articles published as a copywriter, content writer, or communications specialist
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent interviewing and storytelling abilities
• Collaborative and confident working across a variety of teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word, InDesign and PowerPoint
